The title of this blog was chosen in honour of Shawn Matthews, creator of Korea life blog and China life blog, who took his life in Beijing on May 23, 2006. I didn’t know him but I loved reading his blogs.
Aside from that, this blog is just named after life in Ottawa.
I live in Ottawa’s Chinatown. I like to ride a bike, listen to music, watch movies, take pictures. Eat Asian food. Drink, walk around, talk, think about things, read the paper. Try and get an extra day off work. I’m male, 57, employed as a technical writer at a small software company.
I like this picture of myself because it reminds me of my dad. But usually I wear glasses.
I really like reading other people’s blogs, especially if they live in my city and they take pictures of places that are familiar to me, and if they are willing to share some of their thoughts. So that’s what I’ll try to do.
Oh by the way, I have a habit of going back and rewriting older entries. I do this because I’m a writer. All good writing is rewriting.
